Well...I don't have WinRar or Winzip on my laptop here.....and when I right click on one of the installer files there is no "extract to" option.  So evidently you need WinRar or Winzip to extract the files.

Hi, Folks. I'm happy to change the title. I certainly don't want to turn any new folks off to the product. I'm still very much in love with Sonar.
Thanks.  Really appreciated.

FWIW: In no way did I intend to promote censorship in this forum.  I just felt as though the original title would scare folks away, rather than getting them to read on and get the full context.  There's some great discussion here, covering a variety of opinions on the topic.  The new title suggests "c'mon in and hear what I think."  Were as the other might get a lazy potential new user to say, "oh, looks like people think it's underwhelming" without bothering with the thread's content.

Thanks again.

Bill I really hope you see my point in the light it was made. I too was not found of the old title but darn it, to me if it doesn't trespass on the TOS than leave it alone. Its a major reason this forum has a good reputation. CW shows a lot of tolerance. To me if the OP starts a thread it belongs to that OP. The title is also theirs.

Its an important principle. Thats why I came  on so strong. Talk of CW changing something a member posts is troublesome. We know you can do it. We know you have every right to do it. Its not exorcising that right that gives life to this forum.

In the past CW people have pointedly ask for the OP to change a title or even another member has asked. It has always worked out before.

Take care my new friend.

I felt kind of the same way (as the OP) when I first opened up X2, I saw just one noticable difference in the UI (which was the click to/click near(?) option)
But as I started working with it, I began to really appreciate the new additions and changes.  In fact I upgraded both Breverb and TH2 to the full versions, I would have liked to upgrade R-Mix, but there's no special upgrading price, and I think the X2 version is fine by itself.

But what really won me over totally was after watching the newly released Sonar X2 video.  Before I watched the video I consider this a half an upgrade "X1.5"  but after I watched the Cakewalk video, I totally agree that it truly is a full version upgrade:

Watch the video if you have any doubts:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xw5z9BKWD-I    -  I LOVE Sonar X2 - the only thing that's missing (and this is relatively minor) is the ability to change color schemes and set up the colors how you like.  But I can live with the dark grey.

I'm fairly new here...with only 230 posts....but this is BY FAR the best forum I have ever had the pleasure of being a part of.

It is the only forum I have ever seen where so many genuinely give their time to try to help others.

And Bill....you are a class act...!  Thank you, and the rest of the "Cakers" for time and patients...!  You are definitely appreciated...!
