Hey all,

Been awhile since I posted anything - I was in a kick-ass 80's band for awhile, but now I'm back to recording. I covet your ears and your review of the song, generally and specifically. I have a few things I plan to polish up, but I think it's close to what I imagined.

Hi Joshua, it's good to hear from you again.  You certainly haven't been resting on your laurels.  This song is very powerful and full of raw energy that explodes from my speakers.  Your voice and guitar work are super!  This is easily the best recording I've heard from you, and I can definitely hear your progress since I last heard from you.  Kudos to you!

Thanks Lynn! I'm back in Kansas City now - I think we may have talked about that. Might be good to connect at a coffee shop?

For my furry ears it was a little narrow in the mix a little bit of width and space would have been nice.  However the singing and playing were/are of a very good quality.  Thanks for sharing.

Mix could be wider and more open, but performances were really good. Well done!

Thanks all. As for the width of the mix. I've got things panned but the drums are all straight up the middle, just because they are middle and I didn't mix them out individually - moving that around might air it out some.

Also the vocals in the chorus are hard panned L/R so that's interesting feedback. Thanks for listening!

Love the vocals, the lead guitar and the clean fills.

Mix-wise +1 to the above.   In particular the drums are narrow and just a bit fake sounding, and the distorted rhythm guitar parts sound good but a bit too centered for my tastes.   IMHO the other elements (like the clean guitar parts) sound nice when they come in because they're adding width - for example, during the solo at the end everything is right up the center.
