Okay tunekicker. It'll probably be the weekend now before I get onto this. It's certainly worth experimenting with anyway.

I've also seen the real-time display stop updating a few times - fixed by closing and reopening the dialog - but audio-wise it seems to work well here.   And if nothing else, it's certainly fun to play with.

R-mix, as far as I can tell, is a interesting sound design tool.  Unless you are doing karoke mixes I can't imagine it being a front line tool, but obviously there are all kinds of other uses for it.  I like the widening idea above and can see all kinds of riffs on that.  Panning w/ different frequencies is a take off of that idea.  Swooshes starting in the left channel and bass, rising to the right w/ only high frequencies.

I haven't tried it yet, but a thought occurred to me... Is it really latency, or is it plugin delay compensation?  What happens when you click the PDC button while you are using it?  I know this solves a bad delay problem when playing guitar into TH2.
Forgive me if this is a dumb comment, but this feature is new to me.  Thanks.

Two things happened for me with R-mix. The worst was a runaway static noise that kept getting louder and louder. I stopped the audio engine and when I restarted it the noise kept going (playback not engaged). Happened once, but it's scary loud and I'm worried about it happening again when I am not close enough to the volume knob. Second thing is R-mix stops updating its real-time color display. Closing and reopening gets it going again. By the way, it adds latency.

Same issue on the runaway for me, a feedback loop.  I also have had the color display flatten out to a ribbon about 1/8th of an inch wide, moved all the way over to the left.   I thought it was because I added it to a mono track at first, but its happened now on stereo tracks.  The only think I can pinpoint that is the same is that I am adding it to a track while the song is playing.  It hasn't done it when I added to a track while it was stopped. Neat little tool though.

The real-time display was showing blank white until i removed it from the bin and then reloaded it.

The Noise Cancel did magic to my audio tracks by removing the hiss completely. I selected the HissNoise optioin and raised the Depth fader to the value of 10 (out of 100).

I have tested the same tracks with other third party noise removal plugins, but RMIX was much better. the other plug ins colored the sound of the tracks

LLyons: I had the left-side-only bar happen once also, and it cleared up by exiting and restarting. And yes, it also shows up that way on a bus when a track or earlier bus has interleave set to mono.

Yeah, got to try that one too.

I was playing a simple Chromophone preset through R-Mix the other night and it produced a spectrum that had three distinct frequency "blobs" visible. It was interesting to hear each separate "blob" of sound, or how the preset sounded with one of the "blobs" removed.

Very interesting stuff indeed. I love dabbling with sounds that mess with your head lol, and R-Mix is certainly going to help with that.

I tested it again, with just an exported stereo track, and RMIX is very responsive.

I guess my previous problem was inserting RMIX to the master bus, with many soft synth tracks un-frozen.

Synk, lots of ways this will help with sound design.  I can think of that many at the moment, but I'm sure they will come.  Blobs of sound. ;-)
