After 3 attempts I got X2 up and running. I'm assuming the white dotted type line is the draw tool?
It drove me nuts trying to get rid of it.....thanks for pointing how do get rid of the smart tool function. I wish Cakewalk had not done this, it's just an extra step to turn something off that I don't really use anyway. I was just trying to go through the markers in a tune and this pesky white line was following the whole time

I agree, I too find this dotted white line following everything in the timeline incredibly annoying but how do we turn it off? Thanks.

It's called aim-assist. x toggles it on/off. I like it.

Had a few crashes with X2 today. I had installed both 64 and 32 bit.
1)Console emulator is not showing in 32 bit.
2)The 64 bit version, well I had installed the loops and one shot, when I was going thru them in the browser for the first time, the browser crashed Sonar. (At least I think it was)
3) I had selected FX chain in Pro channel, when I choosed a preset FX chain crashed Sonar.

I hope the Bakers are reading it.

I love the TH2, Console emulator and Breverb is a winner. I was think about getting the Valhala Room reverb for 50 Bucks after trying it's demo. That was when Sonar annouced X2 with Breverb included. The rest is history.

Okay, not an install issue, but where is my "Console Emulator Channel" in ProChannel?  I decided to install X2 on my laptop when I'm on the road.  On my workstation, I see both the "Console Emulator Channel" and "Console Emulator Bus" in ProChannel.  The channel is missing on my laptop installation.  I've removed and re-installed twice.  Any ideas :(.

BTW, everything is installed as 64-bit, just like my workstation.

I've seen this too - initially thought it was a focus thing but its not. Even if you click on the channel it still doesn't work.

I was trying different key + mouse button combinations with the slider under the transport to see if there was a "fine tuning" mode and I got into a situation where my cursor disappeared in the SONAR window.

I was also trying the handles on the clip fades with different extra keys (CTRL, ALT, SHIFT) and I got into a state where I couldn't let go of the clip fade handle.

Both situations required me to close and reopen X2 to fix the problem.  I couldn't find a recipe to reproduce it.

I'm getting the same behaviour with Izotope Vinyl - its as though the plug in effect is being applied constantly rather than when there is a clip. I've had to workaround it by using volume envelopes on the effect to mute it.
