After 3 attempts I got X2 up and running. I'm assuming the white dotted type line is the draw tool?
It drove me nuts trying to get rid of it.....thanks for pointing how do get rid of the smart tool function. I wish Cakewalk had not done this, it's just an extra step to turn something off that I don't really use anyway. I was just trying to go through the markers in a tune and this pesky white line was following the whole time

Yeah, kill tasks don't work! That's always my first go to point but with SONAR it doesn't always seem to work. It does with some types of crashes though, just not others.

I can't get the Overlap Cropping tool to work in X2! This is absolutely essential to my recording and editing workflow!

synkrotron
I tried to use my previous install of Rapture 1.2.2 but it says that synth was not installed properly so I'm going to have to install it again.

Going to take a bit of messing about my end it seems, but I'm feeling positive...

Do you have the smart tool on?

On the Pro Channel, I can't get the Console Emulator to load, it just "smears" and crashes Sonar. Also crashes after a while using Autotune 7/Evo/Harmony.

When this happens, did you try this:

Use Resource Monitor, in Overview tab, right click on Sonar's process and click 'Analyze Wait Chain...'

It will show the other processes Sonar is waiting for before it terminates. You will need to terminate those processes, too.

I opened an X1d project in X2.
The output routing dropdown in all audio and instrument tracks, in all buses, in track and console view does not respond.
I cannot re-route audio at all from what was set to at open.

Has anyone seen this little beefburger.

Some bits of the install have pointed X2 at the X1 install locations and some bits point to the X2 location.

i.e. I have a custom soft instrument layout created under X1

The Plugin Manager sees the path <System-users-Wookiee-Appdata-roaming-Cakewalk-SONAR X1 Producer--Plug-in menu Layouts>

but the

Inspector sees the path <System-users-Wookiee-Appdata-roaming-Cakewalk-SONAR X2 Producer--Plug-in menu Layouts>.

Subtle but never the less irritating.

Yes I did take the migrate option on install.

I did try and report it but apparently the Internet is broken.

Which does pose the question what am I using to publish this.  Is it possible Becan has finally succeed and taken control of all things Cakewalk or is it all just Bupasised?

Install went ok but when I tried to load the Overloud TH2 is says the plug in not installed correctly and crashes. I tried rebooting, rescanning vsts, removing the th2 files and reinstalling just that from the x2 setup running the setup as admin.

Nothing seems to work. I did send in the dump files so hopefully that will help find a solution. Has anyone else tried the TH2?
