So far X2 is working quiet well.  
After editing an audio clip with the external WaveEditor (Wavosaur) & saving, then back to Sonar asking me to reload it, I click Yes, and poof!! the clip is empty.

Checking the "Tool Copy ....." saved file by Wavosaur in the Temp Dir, It looks OK.

Anyone with different results ?

Sorry about that, it was my mistake.
It works fine :
I was working on a shortened clip and while editing the audio, I removed the silent parts changing the clip's length so when returning to Sonar the clip was of course misplaced.
 
 
 

My VST effect plug-in layouts did not migrate.  So, I just loaded them from the X1 folder.  Oddly, random effects did not appear.  Some UAD plugs for instance.  In plug-in-layout manager they were on the list, but when I tried to add the effect in the audio bin, they weren't an option.  They DID appear in the all-plugins layout.  

If I deleted them from my custom layout then re-added them, they were back.  Now, however I have to go through the layout and make sure every plug-in is there.

Oh, and the whole thing crashed after a few hours.  And my system struggled with a relatively modest project (pops and clicks).  

My download and install went just fine.  My computer is extremely fast with plenty of ram and disk space.

When I try to play an audio track I keep having to cycle the track echo on and off to be able to hear what I've recorded.  It's like the program is trying to trick me.  When I try to reroute a buss is when the program crashes entirely.  Even one single left-click will do it.

I really love this software and can't wait for the kinks to get worked out.

Evening all, first post here. I have been a user on and off of Cakewalk since the early 90s. Anyway, today I d/led and installed X2. Installation went with no hitches. I do however have a bug probably, and maybe an ommision.
 
Loops do not often allow preview playing, seems to be random about which it will preview. The additional loops and 1 shots are particularly problematic. In addition those have no directory structure and have been all thrown into together on install, is that intentional?. And I have managed to crash X2 while simply moving the new reverb from one track to another.

Hi Tony

Instead of the directory structure, there is a search filter above the loops lists.
Writing in it the name of a loop, you get all the corresponding loops.

Had my first crash in X2 today.

While playing a project I wanted to reset a bus level to 0 by doing a double click on the level bar in TV.

SONAH went all crash in the loudspekah.

I will try to reproduce on demand so that I can do a vid of the event.

Rapture crash x2 when I try to add the Synth I have rapture64le showing in synth drop down? help

Recorded a guitar lead, about 2 minutes worth. Didn't like it. Created a folder, Named it UNUSED. Created a track inside. Renamed it lead. WITH SMART TOOL, moved to the clip, when the icon changed to the "move" icon, shift-left clicked to move the clip to the UNUSED > lead track. Kept wanting to copy into my SD3 midi clip track.... control z to undo... after 3 tries, my system crashed. Bug report would not go through. After I restarted my system. ((because i hit save everytime I do something) I lost nothing. But I switched from smart tool to MOVE tool. SHIFT-left click > drag and it worked.

two problems:

1. First crash just now...  at attempt to open PC after using audiosnap on the same track. Chrash report sent to CW.
2. Can't keep my eyes open anymore. I'm up since 6:30 AM and its 12:30 PM now, here in CE... 

I think I'm gonna crash
