I believe I've had no stability issues that weren't connected to the console emulation PC module. 

When I reach for my credit card, It slips out of my hand, falls on the floor.
I reach down to pick it up and hit my head on the shelf where my 8.53 discs are.

I try to get past the coincidence, and, maybe I could use X2 as like another 'end table' with X1 on the left on my desktop and X2 on the right and 8.53 in the middle. It's a concept anyway. But then, maybe there's a desktop sitting bug. idunno.. Scary.. maybe.. Where is the list of bug fixes anyway. Did they fix the envelopes not mixing properly.

I didn't say "install" once..

I have been playing with X2 Producer for the last few days constantly. So far I have had no significant problems or crashes.

I have found one small issue:

As I save my project templates, I use Save as...
Then I navigate Go To Folder:Templates and Save as Type:  Template.

But sometimes the files in the folder are not displayed. 

Refresh does nothing, but if I change Go to Folder and come back the display is refreshed properly.

I had no trouble with the install. I'm running Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit and installed only the 64-bit version of X2 Producer. One thing that's on my wish list is an actual upgrade type of installation so you don't end up with these dual installation situations. I remember having an issue between Sonar 8.5 and X1. Tech support told me how to fully uninstall 8.5 which included going into the dreaded Registry.

FIRST CRASH REPORT

I opened an X1 Producer Expanded Edition (latest update whatever that was) project in X2 Producer, added Rapture 1.22 (which I already had from a prior purchase so did not install the version that came with X2), played it for a few seconds and watched in shock and awe as X2 crashed.

The Problem Reporter did not come up and I had to do a restart to get my ASIO driver back for my Roland Quad-Capture soundcard. I reported this manually as a problem and also e-mailed tech support.

SECOND CRASH REPORT

I created a new project in X2, added Tone2's ElectraX (64-bit), played a bit, that worked, then added Tone2's Gladiator (64-bit) and X2 crashed while trying to load the synth. The Problem Reporter came up, however, my ASIO driver was not released, so another restart.

One thing I noticed with both crashes is that the Sonar EXE did not show up in the Task Manager. I have Sysinternals' Process Explorer but it's never been able to kill the Sonar EXE process after a crash.

My overall impression is that X2 Producer is flakey and there will definitely be a patch within the month based on the problems I'm reading about on the forum.

Had my first crash in X2 today.

While playing a project I wanted to reset a bus level to 0 by doing a double click on the level bar in TV.

SONAH went all crash in the loudspekah.

I will try to reproduce on demand so that I can do a vid of the event.

I was unable to reproduce after several attempts.


I'll have to call this an anomoly for now. It's the only crash I've had so far.

Arpeggiator Preset prev/next buttons don't work after losing focus. Minor issue, but huge pain when surfing the presets. If Preset dropdown has focus, prev/next jump to first preset in first section of presets category.

2nd crash  ...  at attempt to open PC after using audiosnap on the same track ...
...and 1 crash after inserting Melodyne into a Clip Effects Bin....(or is  a Melodyne related crash in Sonar  a "normal" crash and doesn't count on your  list....?
