  • X2: Muting MIDI notes using Smart Tool in PRV does not work (ANSWERED)

In PRV with Smart Tool activated, when I ALT+right-click a MIDI note, the note does not get muted as per specs; it gets erased.

I have just submitted a problem report to Cakewalk about this.

Does anyone else have this problem?

I am running X2 on Windows XP, 32 bit.

Sorry to hear that you have the problem too revsnd...

You don't happen to be running X2 on Windows XP, do you? Looking for a common denominator here.

As far as I can tell it does not work as intended. Both right click and alt + right click delete the note. Running win 7 here.

Thanks for confirming that; this is exactly what I see, too. Good to know that it's happening on different OS versions. I've logged a trouble ticket with Cakewalk. Will report back as soon as I hear from them.

AFAIK it is a bug, I couldn't get it to work either.

You can still access the mute tool by hitting F10

Thanks. Other people running Win7 have also reported to have this problem, so it doesn't seem to be OS specific.
