Where do I start!
Well it started when I came to import audio for ready for mix down, In X1 if you only had one audio track and import numerous audio files it would create separate track for each file (maybe I'm missing a setting here in X2?) but what happened was it imported all 22 tracks into the same track!
Anyway, so I thought I would create a blank audio track instead and duplicated 22 times, but oh no that would work either, as you can see from the video it creates the tracks but then deletes them all! I thought maybe there was some conflict with older Sonar programs so I removed all traces of 8.5 and X1 but problem still exists. My set up is still the same, only thing that's changed is the install ox X2.
Here's the video... (sorry not best quality, but though it better to do it this way than run a video capture program as well!)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bIoq6LJcMnw While I'm here I've also noticed in X2 that CPU meter in the performance module (even when idle is pretty high IMO) even when I managed to import just the 22 audio files from a blank project file for mixing, playback just sent it through the roof touching in the red a lot of the time and audio playback really struggled. This never happened in X1. Since the install of X2 I've also noticed my external audio interface often disconnects for no real reason and without warning. All I know is that in X1 I could have numerous instance of Stylus RMX & Omnisphere with no major issues, In X2 this is becoming near impossible :-(
BTW for those having the install Rapture issues, here`s what I did, un-install all rapture installs and references, then install rapture as you normally would from the Cakewalk X2 installer. but only selecting Rapture as the program to install. Once installed you should see the standalone version on you desktop, set this so it runs as administrator, then when you load X2 you can register rapture as normal, worked for me anyway :-)
