It does not work for MIDI tracks for me. It does work for audio tracks.

Strange... some sort of install issue maybe? I've just checked again and it definitely works here.

Are we talking about the same thing? I am referring to MIDI track outputs going to ports. It didn't do it in X1 either.

I think so. I'm talking about the MIDI output port drop down. Works like all the other quick grouping here.

I've just tried it on my laptop that doesn't have any MIDI devices attached so I inserted a couple of drum maps and used them as virtual ports.

I know it works on my main DAW as I was swapping all my drum tracks this morning between a couple of hardware units and session drummer while experimenting with sounds.

Worked in X1 for me as well but as I mentioned earlier there was a bug that stopped it working form the inspector but that was fixed in X1 at C or D.

It has never worked for me under X1 and now X2. Its one of the first things I check with new versions. I need this ability.

That is strange..... I wonder if it affects others. It's not something I've seen complained about much. I just assumed it was working for everyone.

Just to be sure we're talking about the same thing here's a quick video

As you'll see no MIDI ports proper just drum map ports but there's no difference in behaviour either way.

Whats with the quick groups???

I thought that's what we were talking about - quick grouping. Select tracks, hold ctrl key down change parameter, output etc.... works on everything just about, including MIDI outs....

Yes. Lost working space with ridiculously oversized icons, oversized borders etc. Everything could be half the size.

You can make the track icons smaller. For me the UI layout is just fine, and you can customize it and/or buy a bigger/secondary monitor or change your screen resolution. Halving the size of everything would make it completely unusable - at least for me ;).

I have to agree....   I can only do so much squinting at small icons before my eyes start to hurt.   I'll take a few less tracks on-screen at one time over not being able to clearly see the icons I need.

I'll also take a customizable module in the Control Bar, thanks.
