Interesting thought about the recording truck. As I contemplate what it might offer in this modern age of recording and the great tools we have. All I can think of is in the truck you might have the advantage of isolation from the stage sound and you can monitor it inputs to insure your getting what you want to get. I don't know, I've never been involved with one.
I did use a low bass filter on the kick trying to minimize the top end bleed, maybe I went too far with it. Or maybe it's time to try the sidechaining of a compressor. Of course I could just turn the kick up lol.
Speaking of sidechaining to duck the bass with the kick hits. (I've not yet actually tried it) What happens if a bass note gets played a bit earlier than the kick? (real world here) Is the ducking affect still effective, or does it get odd maybe even enhancing the flam.... I'll get to it and try soon, just got home from another set of gigs.
Oh, and I do appreciate all your comments and compliments. Music is so much fun we might as well try to get it right.
