More often than not, when trying to split a clip with the scissors, it doesnt work, leaving me hacking away like sweeney todd on acid until it recognises what i want to do. Sometimes it does it in one click as i assume its supposed to. This also happened to me in X1. Sometimes i have to reopen the program then it works correctly. Is this a known problem?

even more acurate is to get the now time marker exactly where you want to snip.make sure the track is highlighted and press S on the keyboard(its the snip shortcut)
most unacurate cuts are due to your snap value.
set a good snap value and your snips will be perfect.
if its something like free form jazz...ummm well..youll need to just temp.disable it by pressing N/not F12 anymore.

Thanks Chuckebaby, i will try that method but my point is that the scissors dont snip regardless of where i do it. Maybe its a problem with using the mouse, i shall try the snip shortcut with now time marker. Thanks again.
