It appears that the Chordspace VST is on a midi track. The OP has a plugin in an audio track interpreting audio and sending midi. Is that the same thing?

No snook, it is not the same. That is my dilemma. These class of vsts are inserted in an audio track, not a midi track. I think ones like chord space player accept a midi signal and modify it, like create a chord from a single note, and pass it to a soft synth track. This is essentially a midi through. From what I have figured out so far sonar has no capacity to see a midi output from an audio vst natively. Midi loop back drivers offer a very clunky workaround as well as the old direct xer program which installs it own loopbackmdrivers. Looks like my best hope is hosting a plug in like energy xt which has its own internal routing and seeing if I can get sonar to see something. Anybody else have any ideas please chime in.
