Yes, I have read that. It's in preferences /advanced. It's the same format as the online version. I'm looking for what we had in X1. (See post 3)

Oh. Yeah maybe they're still writing it but I'd imagine the bulk of the X1 manual is still valid. I was hunting around for it earlier too. I would like to know where the additional content referenced to in the link I posted is. I was looking at the Effects section and underneath most of the explanations it tells you for more info to see the online help but doesn't provide a link. I'm assuming that is still being worked on as well.

Thanks for checking,Beepster. I guess I should be more patient.

@qlne... Naw I get it. I'd like to take a look too and I'm not certain if there is a more thorough manual coming but I'd imagine that's the last thing out the door. The more seasoned users would know better how manual releases go down but I recall seeing something mentioned about how manuals come out a little later than the software... but again I might be totally wrong on that as well. I often am. ;-)

Open it offline and save as a PDF if you want or an HTML doc which you can access through your browser of choice.

Better than the previous PDF reference guide as it is fully linked throughout the document.

The previous reference guide had exactly the same I Fi as the help file just presented in a linear format as a pdf

@mudgel... Are there supposed to be links in this page about plug ins where it says "For more information..."? http://www.cakewalk.com/D...Req=Plug-ins.46.2.html

I'm out and about and using my phone. That was a huge reference you li led me to.
There are 2 links at the very end to further pages with more information. Is that what you meant?

@mudgel... Ack, sorry man. It's the included plugins reference page. It gives a screen cap of the plugs GUI and a brief description. Underneath the description for almost all of them it states "For more information see the [XXX] online help". For more clarification this is the first one "For more information, see the 2-band EQ online Help." However if you are on your phone it probably wouldn't display correctly. I'm thinking my problem might be with Firefox.

Yeh it's displayed fine. Just takes a while to load.
Every place where it says for more infoi see such and such theres a link to another entry with additional info.

Are you not seeing any hyperlinked text?

Online help is available here:

http://www.cakewalk.com/documentation/

I just completed a web site mirror of this using ' WinHTTrack Website Copier 3.46'.
It seems to be a complete local copy of the web site with English, French and German pages.
So you can put it on your non-network-attached machines and still have browsing ability.

It's about 500 MB uncompressed.

If no one at Cakewalk objects, I can make a copy of this available for download.

Since this takes a while to run, and no one wants the site hammered by extra spiders, I don't see any harm in making this available.

The tool allows for updates to be made automatically, so I can run this every few months to keep it up-to-date.
