As others have asked, what problems are you experiencing? I can assure you it does work and very well, at least for nine hours anyway.

If you post up the problem(s) we may be able to help.

@jm .... There is another thread about that problem. That particular problem was there in X1 as well, but less previlant. Whatever they changed in X2 has brought it to the forefront.

According to the other thread it was reported but Cakewalk can not reproduce it, just like all the other problems with the PC, so dont expect it to get fixed anytime soon.

The only reason I upgraded to X2 was because of the engine improvements and the 'hope' that included some help for the PC. Its clear now that nothing has changed, well, actually its worse now because so many people are here talking about it right out of the chute.

You will get the typical , check your vid card, drivers, sound card, OS, and I bet that happens before I even finish writing this post. Trust me ... I've replaced everything in my daw but the wiring and nothing fixes this. Its a problem with sonar. It has been from day 1 but they dont know how to fix it.

Yes a similar problem has been posted elsewhere, although I don't think it was hanging there, just present but not visible, perhaps graphic card related?

Some get it some don't and there doesn't appear to be a set reproduction method either unless you know how to.

Have you tried running the plugin scanner with "rescan installed plugins" checked?

lol, I just experienced the same ProChannel issue in the picture above. My Concrete Limiter was just a top bar. I couldn't remove it.

But when I inserted another instance of it, the other Concrete Limiter became visible. I then removed the other instance and all appears to be working okay again now. No crashing while moving between different tracks and ProChannels.

What's going on with the X2 that is not suitable to work properly? The same was the case with X1. Cakewalk has released for sale a totally unfinished version. This is getting ridiculous. When will the patch fix?!!!

Hi JM,

X2 is FAR from a beta version.  It is fully tested and perfectly suitable for use in professional settings.  I will say that whenever a new software product is released by any company and the number of users increases dramatically, and a few issues are bound to crop up.  But there's nothing that should really stop you in your tracks.  But if something does, it merits a call to our tech support team, as you're likely experiencing something that others aren't.  Also, worth noting: a lot of "issues" may just require a bit more experience with the new changes.

We're currently investigating the missing ProChannel issue.  In fact, I'll merge these two threads to keep better track of the discussion on it.

After a few hours of playing around, I find X2 to be relatively stable -- not much different from X1d in that regard -- EXCEPT for the missing PC module issue.  It's happened to me several times, with several different modules other than than the standard 3: Console Emulation, Softube FET Compressor, and a few others.  As with the other reports, adding the same module to the strip fixes the problem, as does closing and re-opening the project.

My DAW is using the Intel integrated graphics on a Sandy Bridge CPU, nothing fancy.  Seems like this should be a pretty easy thing to diagnose.  Thanks again for all the extra support!

Cheers,
Eddie

So Eddie, you didn't experience the crashes when switching between tracks or clicking between buses? I have along with this disappearing magic trick. I have an Nvidia graphics card.

I tried and tried but could not get the missing PCM to happen, just the menu not going away over a PCM draw issue.
