So Eddie, you didn't experience the crashes when switching between tracks or clicking between buses? I have along with this disappearing magic trick. I have an Nvidia graphics card.
No problems switching between tracks or buses.  I just now managed to make a bunch of PC modules disappear by rendering a project -- when I came back to it, they were just grey blanks as seen in the pics earlier in this thread.  All were other than the standard comp/eq/tube sat modules -- Breverb, PC4K Expander, and Softube EQ were gone.  I also noticed that adding ANY new module to the strip seems to refresh the missing modules' GUIs, after which all is normal.

Not a showstopper bug, but kind of annoying ...

Cheers,
Eddie

Yes I was able to reproduce the blank module issue today when doing some mixing. The last PC module on my buses stopped drawing. It appears to be just a GUI layout redraw bug of some sorts. The module is not really missing but the UI stops painting properly. Closing and reopening the project fixed it for me.
Its not a serious issue but definitely annoying. We'll fix it for sure once we nail a recipe for whats causing it - don't worry.

T Music...have you downloaded the latest driver for the Nvidia card?  They have a new driver out....just a few days old.  I installed it a couple of days ago.

I haven't experienced any of the bugs mentioned yet....but then again, I haven't used X2 but a few hours.  You might try the new Nvidia driver and see if that fixes your problem.

Noel,

It happened to me once immediately after rendering a project via Export -> Audio, which sounds like the same thing Eddie TX described happening in the message before yours.  That's definitely not the only thing that makes it happen, because I've encountered it in sessions where I didn't use Export, but since two of us have run into it in that scenario maybe there's something in the Export process that makes it more likely, and hopefully that will help you to narrow down the cause.

I loaded a PC preset I made for the master buss in X1 into an X2 PC master buss.  It had the CL and the big knob as well a the quad EQ and it had the problem after a small amount of time. The bottom 2 modules went blank. Those were the big knob and CL. I haven't had any problems with the PC and I do have my system up to date.  This is Vista 64.

My first job on x2 it's just over. 3 days of corrections e mix on 14 songs born on x1.
Very often happened the "missing module" on pro chan.
Very often engine stops if any operation is made on PRo chan.
Piano roll stops its scrolling and you must "look for" the now time (scroll lock key Not toggled)
Very good and clear and accurate sound
Difficulties about the new smart tool behaviour
GUI seems to be under stress. Various objects, widgets and buttons seems to be un-stable. Now the GUI stress seems to increase and drop outs occurr very (too much) often. When moving the cursor, the aim assistant seems to confuse the track ellipse (little series of point the go to the clip seem to go nuts!)
Waiting for correction patches......

My particular X2 PC plugin bug seems to be that when I load projects started in X1 some instances of PC (tracks and busses) contain an inactive tube saturation plugin (not the Sonitus one, the original PC plugin) that wasn't present in the X1 original.

Unfortunately, based on the limited time I've had to test, this seems a random thing with no obvious way to reproduce it.

It's more of a nuisance thing (having to delete the unwanted plugin) rather than a show-stopper though.

I've also a PC eq bug I'll post about separately.

Regarding the empty ProChannel module "bug." If you don't want to shut down your project and open it again to redraw the blank PC module, I've found that if you insert any one of the modules on the same channel as the blank one, the blank module is instantly redrawn. I then just remove the module I just added.

Saves me closing and reopening my current project...
