I also had problems with Rapture but so far it's running ok after letting X2 install a new version.
I did however make sure that ALL plugins were installed in C:\Program\Cakewalk\Vstplugins\X2 NOT C:\Program\Cakewalk\Vstplugins\
I usually let the bulk of the program install to where it wants to default to and in this case it will install the C:\Program\cakewalk
For all Libraries I have a seperate and dedicated drive that I use
Then for the VST's in my C directory I have a folder that I labeled All VST's
I subfolder it ;
64 bit VST's
32 Bit VST's
JBridge VST's
Cakewalk VST's
This way I know where all my VST's are and any time I need to rescan I just point to one folder. "All VST's" and it get's them all.....easy peasy
However I think that I will make a seperate sub folder in my cake VST folder for version X2 after reading your post....it will just make it cleaner
But in this case I do not want X2 to re-install DimPro cause it works so well right now and it's so stable....even the DSF Strings that we got free work perefect...........So if I can skip this (which I think I can with a custom install) and it will be picked up with the 1st scan X2 will need to do to install all my plugs.......
But as I said ......Rapture is another story.......I cannot tell you how many times I've had to uninstall, and re-install and I've even worked with customer support to try to resolve the isssue with no solutions.....
So since X2 comes with the full version of Rapture it may just be better to do a clean un-install and just let X2 do it's thing.....I'm hoping this solves the problem...........................cause I really love Rapture.....
