Beagle
haha!  yes, I am quite pleased when someone returns to thank those who helped.

sometimes, however, I've also had people go for weeks without returning to a thread (even months, occassionally) and then come back for more help because something happened in their life that they couldn't work on this and it's not as big of a part of their life as it is mine!

And now you can move to the X1 forum were all this belongs too!

A small request to my good friends who are always forever so helpful here.
Please always include a polite reminder that this is the wrong forum.
I know we can still help, but eventually they need to be aware that there is a proper X1 form.
X1 ( and 2 ) users will get a better response in the x1 forum.
It's bad enough admin won't change the name or even stop by to move the threads.

So true about more than half the threads go unfinished by the OP. As Beagle say's, it's part of helping on forums. Don't always expect any thanks or follow up. There are a lot of us who are permanent fixtures here week by week, but, I think the average poster just wants a fast solution and then they move on with their life never to return.
I always wait for a dialogue to start before going into long winded answers.
I even check there user profile and see if they have been good forum citizens via the post listing there. You can tell I'm bored.
I get stuck with nothing to do for a few hours and the forum is good therapy. Should be recording....
