so cool.  Aside from the obvious midi sounding patches, this is a really great song. Look at replacing them with something that sounds better and still fits the groove of this song.
 
The mix itself is out-freaking-standing. Nice and clean.
 
On the replacement of the corny midi stuff...have a look at a band called Pomplamoose over on youtube. they use all sorts of things including kids xylophones, toy piano's and other unique instruments. Think outside the box.

Thanks Herb for the nice comments and feedback. I will check Pomplamoose out for sure. I have a couple horn players in my band,I will probably get them to do something on it eventually but I may come up with something better after listening to the videos you mention.

I love the words and the arrangement and the quirky instruments. Makes me want to cover it.
