Nooo, that's not it.  I'm a lifesaver as well, but I don't pity people in trouble.  I just show earnest concern.  This would be an interesting factoid:  how many folks have died at music festivals this year?
 
BTW  think I'd get out and do more if there was a cure for misanthropy.
