Recorded in February, plugging a scheduled performance in April. What happened in March that changed everything?

BBC quoted his partner saying he was 'tormented with worry' about not being able to play well due to the nerve damage in his right hand, something you can see in his playing in the vid you posted.

Unfortunately in my experience people who have committed suicide always appeared cheerful and up-beat before doing the deed; perhaps they'd made the decision and that gave them a release of some sort.

Wow, I just knew he died. I had no idea he killed himself, how sad.

RIP Keith.
Lets not have anymore of this. At least none here, ok?

The BBC article that ericyeoman linked to stated that KE was also suffering depression from being diagnosed with heart disease, as well as alcohol use.  All in all, a bad combination.

But, to answer your question, Bitflipper, no he doesn't look like he's on the verge of suicide.  Very sad.

This ^^^^

I've seen it personally a couple of times, very hard to detect that there's a serious issue going on.

Actually, there's a scale of emotions that's divided into positive (ranging from courage to peace) and negative (ranging from apathy to pride).  What really trips up people is when someone goes from being very fearful or depressed down to apathy.  Most people see this as a big improvement when, in actuality, the person has simply given up.  Then they're all surprised when they commit suicide.  Getting them angry is really an improvement that moves them away from apathy.

hmm... maybe that's why my pain doc seemed to go waaaaaay out of her way to anger me last visit.

It really did not make me feel better about anything. Quite the opposite.

Not sure about that, but my point is that they can't get angry unless they care about something and that's merely a step in the right direction - certainly not a "cure" in itself.  They need professional help.

Well... her actions after doing so indicate she was up to something. Considering how horrendous things actually are in Beepsterland there is of course cause for concern.

I'd just prefer if someone is gonna get all psychomological on my ass they do it up front... but the system is very strained up here for us plebes so I guess brute force methods may be the only way to really get things done.

Meh... things will get better. At least that lie/platitude I tell myself keeps dumb things from happening.
