DSF Strings is only available to "Early adoters", i.e. pre-sales. 

Pre-order off... but lucky me, upgrade still at same price AND still with the free DSF Symphonic Strings...

So, you've just got the "early" download by buying the pre-order...

DSF Strings is only available to "Early adoters", i.e. pre-sales. 

I bought X1 in August because of the offer to upgrade to X2 for free, and didn't think I was going to get the free symphonic strings. Yet there they are, in my downloads. I'm very happy about that because at the time when it looked like they were only going to be available to pre-sale customers, I felt a little cheated because I (somewhat liberally) considered my purchase of X1 to be a "sort of" pre-sale of X2. Didn't expect to get them at all, so very pleased!

Yes, you are right! But I think the Cakes marketing is really strange and sometimes "agressive" without any real deal. Don't get me wrong, I mean, there is an offer, the offer ends, a new offer just coming right after, even better!... Short, just buy it if you need it, don't wait for an offer, there is always a new one on its way :-)
