Ok my X2 loaded ok but my Dimension Pro not.

Problem:  The DPro installer with the X2 detects an earlier version and then says I need the 1.5 update.  I try that and it can't find the vst folder.

When I open X2 and insert DPro either 32 or 64 a Version 1.2 is there.  One I registered back in 2009.  I do not think I have ever been able to update this to 1.5 by the sounds of it.

I know there are other threads on this but can't find the answer.

Also I have two Dimension Pro serial numbers on my purchase list but no downloads for them...they could be on one of my original disks.  

One is dated 2010

Have you looked in the registry HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Cakewalk Music Software\dp?  Does it reference 1.2?  I would recommend backing up that key (export), deleting it and try to install again.  You can also search the registry for instances of 1.2.  Hope that helps.

Tried deleting registry keys for 1.2.

When I try the 1.5 update it asks me to "browse to where your previously installed VST plug ins are located".

I try but can't find it.

What am I actually looking for there?

I deleted the early Dim Pro via Control panel.  Now working..thanks for the help.

I have this same issue and will drive deleted Dim Pro via Control Panel.  Hope this works.

Nope... SOL... now it says I don't have a version of DIM PRO installed and it won't let me install it.

I guess I will put out a note to the bakers.
