Hey all,  see my 'mind boggling vanishing clips' saga for more info.

Anyone who does use a Plugin Alliance plugin, and is having issues with audio engine dropouts, or 'stranger things', go and update your PA plugins.  This solved all of my issues.  They just put up updates this week to most all of their plugins, and this fixes whatever was causing theses problems.   PA plugins are truly awesome, but something glitched here, but now it's fixed.
I hope this helps anyone who may be experiencing problems with Sonar.  It's not Sonar. I t was happening to others in Pro Tools, Cubase and other Daws too.  See line number 13 in the jpg below.
I updated, and all is great with Sonar!!

Thanks for sharing, Bob
I have had some quirks lately, and have some PA plugins.
Will update them now.
All the best.

Hi Bob,

Yeah, thanks for that.

Is it just the Brainworx stuff?

I only use some of the Unfiltered Audio plugs...

cheers

If you have a number of PA plugins you can use Plugin Alliance's Installation Manager to easily update all the 32bit or 64 at one time.
Down load the Installation Manager
https://www.plugin-alliance.com/en/installation-manager.html
and extract it somewhere - it's a zipped exe program not an installer for the Install Manager.

They run it an set Show (2nd column) to "My Products"

Ït only installs BX, Noveltech and SPL (plus freebies) as far as I can tell.
I have (at least) one Unfiltered Audio plug, and it doesn't show.

All the best.

Looks like the Install Manager only installs current plugins.
So if there is a v2 version out there, v1 isn't on the list.
SPL Plus plugins are on the list but not the original non-Plus items.
So SPL Attacker Plus is on list but not SPL Attacker.

I've just checked the version of the latest Sandman Pro installer, which is V1.1 and my currently installed plug is at V1.0.1 so I suppose I had better check my other UA plugs and do a manual update.

Thanks again for the heads-up...

I upgraded all my Brainworks,  (plugins starting with BX...) and all the other plugins I own from Plugin Alliance that have the new udate that is dated 'Oct 23rd 2017'.  All guitar related ones, including the ENGL amps,  and Chandler amps.  Also the SPL and Noveltech,  Lindel, Elysia, etc..  plugins from PA have the new 11/23/2017 update.

The only plugins, so far anyway, that do not have the updates are my Unfiltered Audio plugins from PA.  These, for some reason, did not have a 'new 11/23/2017' updated.  So I am waiting before I updated these to make sure.  I have UA Dent 2, Indent 2, Instant Delay, and Sandman Pro.  These plugins have an update around 8/2017, so I'm waiting to hear back from PA, but till then, I am going to hold off.  I'll keep checking their site.

Check this link,  their support page.  Scroll all the way down and there is a full list of all their plugins. Click the drop down box next to a plugin, and check to see if it has the 11/23/2017 update.
https://www.plugin-alliance.com/en/support.html

Hope this helps!
Thanks,
Bob E

I haven't used PA's new Install manager yet.  I did the manual install, (download, click on the .exe for each plugin).
Although the new Install Manager looks promising, I read that it doesn't tell you the version that you have installed,  just that you have an update available.
Sonar is purring like a kitten now! Working awesome!  Love it!!
