Hi Leee-

At this point there is no plan for an upgrade to the full version of R-MIX. I am glad you are enjoying the upgrade.

I just now ran a few projects in X2 after it installed. Nothing to report except it worked.

I do believe its handling multi-cores better. But I wouldn't go by this report just yet.

Keep in mind that I am on Vista 64 and it installed without incident or problems. It migrated all my settings overs from X1 and so all I had to do was start it and play with it.

The only thing is the install seemed to take a very long time. I did not install Dim Pro or Rapture because I already have them.

The new FX modules all installed fine.

Darn it, I have no real complaints!!!!!! Where's the fun in that?

Oh the important point my projects seem to play back fine.

There is a lot to get used to but I think it will be a pleasure.

I am digging it too. So far no issues, just learning the new bells and whistles. I really like TH2,Rmix and Breverb. I look forward to further checking our the new features. Great job to the Cakewalk folks!

Charlie have you noticed that X2 seems better than X1? I mean overall. It seems more solid. Sniff sniff my beloved X1 is a has been. See what happens when a new chick I mean DAW moves in.

Personally I think X2 is a good upgrade value for $99. Compared to the $300 upgrade path from Pro Tools 9 to Pro Tools 10 it is a steal.

I also generally like the light versions of software that come bundled with Sonar. The fact that many of them have upgrade paths means that I can pay less for Sonar than if I got the full version of these FX, and choose which ones to upgrade if I like the light versions.

From my first impressions the reworked zoom, lanes, and the updates to the Pro Channel are solid and the console emulation sounds good. That makes me very happy. :-)

Peace,

Tunes

X2 is the dogs b******* IMO everything that X1 should have been.  Even with some minor hicups, the support on the forums with X2 from cake staff has been fantastic! Great work Bakers!!! :-)

Or the "Ducks Guts",as Ducati owners say,I'm totally and utterly happy with what I got for $99,except,I being still a computer virgin,to some degree, went and bought the box/dvd's,for $163 total, and due to the download and install/reg. on 2 machines, being SOO EASY,I wished I'd saved the 64 AUD,but even at $128+ shipping,I'm still completely satisfied!

Been awake for 36 hours with X2,all is well[except my eyesights becoming blurred]

Anyone who's still waiting, seriously,go install now,the lower cpu usage alone on my laptop, makes it worth it!

Hey Bapu,

I think you were 1st,  but we should double check.  There was someone named "toon" or something that I think might have posted a X2 pic before you finished.

It could be a photo finish.

I think we need to check the tape for a review.  Might be too close to call.

I believe I was the first to call "download" but my speed was such that yeas, someone did "install" before me.

I ent cryin' foul.

Installed smoothly. Found all plugs.
Looking forward to learning the new features.
20 minutes, shook out a few new bits, no problems.

I think now that the heavy lifting is over, Cake will continue to refine the application.

I'm digging it but then I always have, even when my faith was tested in the early days of X1.

From where this whole computer music bit started to where this app is today... I'm very grateful for the evolution. It's a big part of what contributes to my happiness.

Thanks, Cake! Keep it up!
