Today i purchased a Behringer Ultragain Pro 8 ADA800 ADAT interface and I was wanting it to connect with my cakewalk UA-25EX (good interface) (running sonar 8.5 LE).
I connected the ADAT ports and checked the sample rate, I'm sure everything is hooked up right but I am having a problem finding the menu to get the ADAT interface to connect to my cakewalk interface, so i mostly need to know what i need to do to either get into the sonar 8.5 LE menu to change the settings (I've spent hours looking) or just an overall solution, i see pro tools has a hardware tab for this kind of stuff but i do not have pro tools :( just sonar 8.5 LE.
Thanks, Pat.

Welcome to the forum.
How do you have it connected?

Hey, i have my cakewalk interface set up with the adat plug going in to the cakewalk and coming out into the output of the behringer adat interface,
the cakewalk interface then just connect via USB to the computer running sonar 8.5 LE,
Thank for the reply, Pat

I assume you mean the optical S/PDIF connection?
I'm afraid I can't offer much, having never used S/PDIF before, but, with everything connected and on, what are your Recording and Playback Timing Master options available under 'Options>Audio'?
What Drivers are available under 'Options>Audio>Drivers'?
Did you check the Behringer web site for driver updates?
You also might want to post this in the Cakewalk Hardware forum.

After checking the specs on the UA-25EX it is only 2 in 2 out. There is no Lightpipe ADAT in on that unit so your will not be able to use the interface as an input. I have the same unit(ADA8000) but when I purchased the interface I made sure it had ADAT Lightpipe(Optical) not SPDIF so sorry to say you need to upgrade your interface my friend.
