I've opened a few & they all seem to work fine, just checking to see if there's anything I need to be aware of.

Well, the new project templates take advantage of some newer features.  But the X1 templates should work fine.  You may want to consider modifying your old ones with some of the new per-project features like Smart Grid, Auto Track Zoom, Track/Piano Roll View grid lines, etc.   These will likely be disabled in an X1 template.  But you may like 'em on by default, moving forward.

I'll most likely 'turn on' the new features on my X1 templates, just don't want to build them all from scratch again since most of them are quite extensive.

When I save project templates, sometimes the file list is empty.
I select the Templates folder and the Templates type, but nothing shows up.
If I select another type and re-select Templates, it will display OK.

It's always been this way for me too. 

i have seen a slight graphical hiccup when using an X1 template, modified with X2. but nothing too serious. might recreate from scratch to see if the problem persists.
