 In general, you should choose stereo, because you could have a mono guitar track with a ping pong delay, for example.  If your track is set to mono, the panning delay will sum to the center.



I have noticed this on sends also. Mono channel, send to a stereo buss with stereo effect and it becomes a mono effect for that track.

Good to know, Bill. I wasn't sure if it would result in a deceiving mix or some other wackiness but if it's a set it and forget type scenario I'll just go with that until I learn more. Thanks again for your help yesterday. That really saved the project from getting scrapped. Might actually get the bugger done today. :-)

No problem.  I'm really glad it was solved.  Make sure you share the mix when you're done!  I'll be proud of my tiny contribution :).

Heh heh... well I wouldn't want to disappoint. It's nothing really special but I think it's alright for a first timer. I also kind of did it in a rather... uh... unorthodox manner but it'll end up on the songs forum for critiquing once I get it done. Cheers.
