@stevec... If I can't figure it out tonight I'll probably call tomorrow and update the thread. I'm still leaning towards user error here but as this thread wears on I'm starting to think that yes indeed something happened to the file. I'll keep working on it though I guess. I just wanted to close this thing out. I'm getting kind of sick of this song at this point. No fun. lol

Are you maybe in Automation Offset Mode? This could yield results along the lines of what you're seeing.  Try typing "O" on your keyboard.

Thanks, Bill. Just tried it and it didn't work unfortunately.

And I should say that pressing O set all my console sliders to zero. Pressing it again set them back to where they were. If it's a known bug or something I'll just call it a loss and move on but I'm still holding out hope.

No, that's a feature.  Info on it here:  http://www.cakewalk.com/Documentation/default.aspx?Doc=SONAR%20X2&Lang=EN&Req=Automation.29.13.html

Is it possible that your master bus has it's interleave set to mono? Like this:

To import all this into a new project will take forever. Most of my time was spent setting up all the tracks and busses. It's massive. I was gonna use it as a template. I also just looked at all the audio settings and compared them to the other project that was panning and it's all exactly the same. I have no idea how I managed to screw this up. I'm gonna go scour the troubleshooting section of this site to see if maybe something is there. One weird thing is in the output section it's listing Focusrite Left Mon but no Right (and not even an option for Right) but that's the same way it is set on the project that is panning. My brain hurts. :-(

You can select all clips at once and with a new project open at the same time with enough tracks-click and hold and drag and drop 'em onto the new project.

Make sure you have BOTH projects open at the same time

@Bill... You nailed it man. Thank you so much. I must have turned it off thinking it was an Echo button on my inputs... so yes, it turns out it was me being a dumb arse. Now I feel silly. Relieved... but silly. Cheers.

@digi2ns... Cheers, man. I got it sorted but I'm gonna keep that in mind for other stuff I plan to do in the future... when I'm not so much of a dumb arse. ;-)
