Worth checking this out to "verify" the latest Melodyne v4 with Sonar Platinum.  Amazing engineering in the new version:

FYI, for those that have made the upgrade to V4, there is already an update

It appears to be v4.0.2.001..................downloading as I type.

Cheers,

Billy Buck

I downloaded it this morning and have 4.0.1.004.

A new version 4.0.2 of Melodyne is available now.
With it we fixed a bug that could lead to a loss of transparency on vocals.

If you update to Melodyne 4 or try the demo now, you will receive 4.0.2 automatically. If you already updated recently, please go to the Preference in Melodyne and use the update check in order to download the new Version 4.0.2

Have fun with the new Melodyne!
The Melodyne team

PS:
Should you wonder why the problem was only happening to some users, while others had no complaints, here is some technical background info:
The problem first showed up with the release of Melodyne 4. It was caused by silence or sibilances that had a certain “potential” to misguide a specific part of our algorithm. But only few files had this potential to trigger the bug at all. And even with such potentially difficult files, it mattered where you started the playback. So it was kind of bad/good luck whether you ran into the problem or not.

The Editor V2 to Studio V4 upgrade is at AudioDeluxe for $125.99

Would be nice to know if this is some sort of intro price, I don't use Editor V2 all that much but enough to not want to miss a discount to get Studio V4.

Thanks for that tip off, and for us UK users, it's impossible to resist the upgrade from Editor to Studio 4, so I just sprung for it ! The PayPal transaction came out at £90.81, which really is quite a steal. for what looks an awesome release of Melodyne...

Has anyone here tried Studio 4 with an older dual core daw? I have a Q9550.

I haven't spent a lot of time with it so far, but I did install it and tried a few quick tests using ARA in Manchester.  Performance seemed good and everything worked fine on a Q9300.

Thank you Steve! That upgrade price is too good pass up. (That's what I always say  :)  )

Absolutely!

FWIW, I've used it a bit more now, both in ARA and standalone modes, and performance does seem pretty good here.   The actual transfer process automated by ARA might even be faster than v2, and the standalone version is pretty lightweight.   The idea of re-synthesizing and/or adjusting audio partials on-the-fly is really pretty cool, for me along the same lines as DNA.

I upgraded to Melodyne Studio 4 today!
Has anyone bought the new Groove3 video? I may. I don't think I ever got everything out of Melodyne that I should. Just very basic tweaks here and there.
I thought I would need to delete my older versions of Melodyne, but the install seems to have taken care of everything. Happy day.

Congrats on the Melodyne Studio 4 update!  I was going to start watching that video last night but was side tracked...

It looks like over an hour and 40 minutes of material presented by Eli Krantzberg. The Product outline looks pretty diverse also with entries in the 4-5 minute range.  I noticed that they have a monthly All-Access Pass for $15 which which may benefit you more than the single topic $20 DL.

Thanks to bapu, I got started on the yearly pass every time they have a sale.
