Since Essential 4 will eventually be included in Sonar Platinum 2016, and I already own Editor 2, does anyone know if both Essential 4 and Editor 2 can coexist in a Sonar or any DAW?  I am on the fence about update to Editor 4 as v2 is sufficient.  Any thoughts about v2 Editor and v4 Essential both working?  I would not want to install Essential v4 and find out that it removed v2 Editor.

cecelius2 . . . this is a great question, couldn't be worded it any better than you stated it, hopefully it will get moved to the main Sonar user forum (hint, hint) since it's an important consideration for all Sonar users who leaped on the Melodyne Essential to Melodyne Editor upgrade deal offered a few years back. Can they co-exist ? Probably not. Hopefully Cakewalk has a plan for this. Inquiring minds really want to know.

I think E4 does auto tempo mapping like S4.

So my question is: is the upgrade price from editor to studio temporary or normal? I want to know if there is a time line on jumping to studio or if I should wait on JRRShop.

FYI, AudioDeluxe now sells the Melodyne Editor(v1 only?) to Editor v4 upgrade for 84 US$, and Melodyne Editor(any version) to Studio v4 upgrade for 126 US$ (once added to your cart). IMO, at that price, the Studio upgrade is no-brainer :)

The Editor V2 to Studio V4 upgrade is at AudioDeluxe for $125.99

Would be nice to know if this is some sort of intro price, I don't use Editor V2 all that much but enough to not want to miss a discount to get Studio V4.

Indeed the upgrade from Editor 2 to Studio 4 is $149, which I think is a fantastic price. Given the new features, I think it should be well worth it. Funny, like some others, I didn't initially see the upgrade path, but after checking with Celemony via email (they got back to me so quick it was unbelievable) it was on their page if you log in and then click to buy the full thing--but you have to scroll to the page bottom, and there are several upgrade paths, including Editor 2 to Studio 4--
I think I'll go for it, once I check with my secret accountant....

For that price, I could not resist getting the upgrade from Editor 2 straight to Studio 4 @ AudioDeluxe. I mean your talking just an additional $25.99 to get Celemony's no holds barred flagship product as opposed to the official $99 upgrade price from Editor 2 to Editor 4. As others have said, a total no brainer deal for registered Editor 2 users.

Cheers,
