Just checked my upgrade price - from studio 3 to studio 4 $149 (before discounts etc), which is of course the SAME price as an upgrade of any version of Editor to Studio 4

If nothing else this seems  not a fair way of doing this, as for me to own Studio 3 in the first place cost me a great deal more than just owning Editor.

Perhaps I will query this with them.

I wonder, do you think we'd get special pricing for owning Sonar like we did before? (Probably not but one could hope!)

That's a very generous upgrade promotional period. Props to them!

All of the Editor upgrades mention Editor or Editor 1, but not Editor 2. That seems odd.
Editor 1 to Editor 4 is only $84 whereas the Ed1 to Studio 4 is $125.99 @ Audio Deluxe. Haven't been to JRRShop yet.
Those 3 extra features in Studio for another $42, doesn't seem a lot.

Q: When I get on Celemony's webpage and look at the comparisons, I see Studio is 32bit only and does not do polyphony. It seems to me the Editor version is better. What am I missing?

AFAIK Studio 4 stand alone is 32bit (why would we need 64bit if we are not using plugins in that host?) but Studio includes the 64bit VST.

The link in msg #69 refers to the previous version, near the bottom of the page

The current version 3 of Melodyne studio only works in 32-bit. It can be linked via the MelodyneBridge plug-in or Rewire to 32-bit DAWs. One exception is Cubase 8, where the use of the MelodyneBridge plug-in is impossible; but even without connecting to a DAW it is always possible to export the desired audio tracks from the DAW, edit them in Melodyne studio 3 and then reimport them into the DAW. Version 4 of Melodyne studio, due for release in 2015, will of course work with 64-bit DAWs.
