In plugin mode I was looking for a bass amp model in the TH2 searchfield, typing in "Bass''. Typing in "B" opened the X1 browser, typing in "a" opened the Audiosnap Pallet and that's how far it let me type "Bass". ...Funny isn't it ?
It looks like the searchfunction of TH2 is not working properly in plugin mode and Sonar is receiving and executing its hotkeys. (It works perfect as stand-alone)
Still does the same with "give all keystrokes to plugin - enabeled". I doublechecked and tried a few other plugin's searchboxes and they all behave normal even with "give all keystrokes to plugin - disabled". I'm running all plugins on my secondary monitorscreen, btw.
I never had this happening before.
 
Maybe someone who's using TH2 can confirm this issue ?

PS: I posted this in the "TH2? OMG!" thread by mikey, but it seemed to get overlooked exept by ptheisen who pointed me to the "give all key strokes..." option (thanx!!!,but didn't fix it) so I decided to start a new thread.
(...or mayby the bug is not in the plugin, but sits in the chair in front of my computer...)

Same thing here with Amplitude 3, can't search in the amplitude browser because whatever letter is bound to something in Sonar doesn't work.

And lets not even start on step record, the main UI steals the number and arrow keys, and that's a part of Sonar itself.

I'll chime in here again, but please don't interpret that as me being an expert, since I'm not.

It's too bad that the "give all keystrokes..." button didn't work, there very well could be a bug somewhere.

The only other thing that comes to mind, if I recall correctly, is that 32 bit bridged plugins often times exhibit this problem. Is that the case for any of you, or is the problem plugin a native 64 bit version? If you can confirm that you're running a 64 bit plugin, then it is most likely a bug somewhere. Well, I suppose you could consider it a bug even for the 32 bitplugin, but at least you may have a potential solution by switching to the 64 bit version if available.

 So at lest I know now that I'm not the bug :) I suppose this is not a Sonar issue but one of the relavent plug in.

Yeah I get this with the MeldaProduction plug-ins, typing in numeric values keeps changing screensets grrrr! lol

ptheisen, I have TH2 installed in 64bit, so I believe a bridge problem can be ruled out.
Rasure, I just tested it with a Melda plug, same thing here.
Kenneth, if this is even happening within a Sonar function, I wonder why this issue has never been addressed to Cakewalk...or maybe it has?
The only simularity I can see between all the participants of this thread having this issue is the location...
I mean the location...we're all non-US, only EU or UK (ptheisen?). Just my bizarr way of analyzing :)

Yup, this has been a problem with several third party plugins - the U-He stuff has also had this problem.  It's been brought up on these forums several times.  I noticed it while demoing Uhbik.

I'm guessing that you have clicked the "Give all Keystrokes to Plugin" button on the interface to see if that fixes the problem?

Shure did, Mod, but as mentioned above, it didn't fix it. I can imagine there will be more posts of that matter coming in, when X2 gets released (can't wait :)) and more poeple start using TH2. ...It still is a great Amp-Sim...
