I've upgraded from Sonar Producer X1 Expanded to Sonar X2 Producer and have downloaded successfully all the Sonar X2 files in my account. When I tried to install X2 an error message opened: 'Please download and run previous packages.'
 
Before installing I decided to completely uninstall my previous version and to start with a clean, new install. After rebooting, I then disconected from the internet and closed my Kaspersky Internet Suite. I then clicked on the SONAR_X2_Producer.part1.exe file to start the install. The installer began extracting the files then after a while the error message ('Please download and run previous packages.') appeared.
 
This suggests to me that the X2 upgrade does need a previous version already installed. I'm certain that I have read in the forums that the new X2 upgrade is a completely independent installer.
 
Can anyone confirm that we do have the option of X2 alone or running side-by-side with a previous version? If we do then can anyone explain what the error message means.

The X2 upgrade install does not require that X1 be on the system.  That error appears if the downloaded files are run out of order, or if one of them fails.  I would try again.  If the error persists, try re-downloading just in case one of the files got corrupted on it's way over to you.

I had the same error last night,had to re-download sonar X2 parts 2,3 and 4. All is well now. Hope this helps. David
