I'm liking x2 producer very much so far, but I am unable to get the Console emulator for Channels to show up in the PC.

The Bus console emulator shows up when I try to ad a PC module, but not the Channel version (with the trim nob).

I checked for the  file (Console Emulator Channel_64.dll) and it is where it should be.

I did a vst scan, and then added the specific folder to be scanned - but I still get nothing.

Any Ideas??

So Is everyone seeing "Console Emulator Channel" as a module for their Pro Channel??

Or is mine the only sneaking one that is hiding :-)

Did you click on the little "+" sign in the upper right corner of the PC? You should then see a pop-up menu.

Right clicked in the empty section at the top of pro-channel and selected the channel module.

I have tried both of those methods, but in both cases the channel plugin is not on the list (only the Bus version is there).

Yep, same here, only the buss version shows

Even if I load a template that came with X2 which includes the Channel Console Emu it doesn't show in the PC either

Noel Borthwick [Cakewalk]

I have asked someone from TS to get in touch with you and troubleshoot it.

Have you already tried doing a full rescan of all your plugins?
My hunch is that its most likely a VST ID collision with something else on your system.
Could you please check if you have any other VST plugins in your path called "Console ...."? If you do find any do an experiment and try renaming those dll's to something different like XX-Console...

One more thing. Make sure that you haven't disabled short file names in windows. SONAR requires that capability. BTW please don't add the internal path to that folder explicitly - it won't help and could potentially compound your problem. Also make sure that you do not have the same plugins in multiple places since it leads to duplicates and potential collisions if they have the same file names.

I don't think I have short names disabled (I'll check when I get home from work).
I'll also check for id conflicts - everything else you have suggested I've tried.

Thanks for the help, it is appreciated.

Checked pretty much everything I can think off Noel, still no joy.

To illustrate the problem maybe a little better I started a new session from a template that came with X2 the for example 24 Track Audio (N-Type) upon loading I get this...

The Console Emulator Channel_64.dll is where it was installed by X2 C:\Program Files\Cakewalk\Shared Utilities\Internal\Console Emulator The buss Emu loads fine, just not the channel.

>>>>>>>>>EDIT:<<<<<<<<<<<
Ahhh, while I was about type this I renamed "Console Emulator Channel_64.dll" to "Console Channel_64.dll" and it loaded fine! Must be something to do wiht long file names?
