I was sent an email providing my Dimension Pro 1.5 product serial and registration code and the registration code does not work..  the install seemed to go fine, but when I tried to run insert Dimension pro for the first time into a test project, it won't accept the registration code that was sent to me via email.   I think the problem relates to the fact that I already had Dimension 1.5 installed but was sent a second copy of it, and when I installed Dimension Pro 1.5 it was preloaded with a serial number (note the one in the note a different number but I didn't bother checking to see if it was from my previous version).. anyway, I'm a little confused to say the least..

Bottom line, I can't register my new copy of Dimension Pro 1.5 it doesn't accept the registration code that matches the serial number... I even went and performed an online re-registration/lost registration code and it just sent me back the same code.

Can you try running SONAR or Dimension Pro as an administrator? This should allow the code to be accepted. Please see here:  http://www.cakewalk.com/Support/kb/reader.aspx/2007013203

Sorry for the trouble! Let us know how that works.

I tried running as administrator and it didn't accept the code..( if I don't run it as administrator it does not allow me to input the code at all)... There is something else wrong here.. I am trying to reinstall it to see if that changes things..

Ryan, I just reinstalled Dimension Pro 1.5, it comes up with the correct Serial number but when I input the Registration code that I was sent I get a message that says "Invalid registration code. Please make sure to enter the product registration code exactly as you received it from Cakewalk" (and I have cut and pasted the code directly from the note I received)

Craig,

Since SONAR X2 includes Dimension Pro as part of the package, you were actually given a brand new Dimension Pro 1.5 serial number, which sounds like the one that was pre-populated when you ran the new installer. Since serial numbers and registration codes work in matched pairs, if you're entering a registration code that does not match a serial number, Cakewalk software will not accept it, even if it was copied exactly. Be sure to match the serial number in the registration prompt with the registration code in your Web Store Account.

And, of course, run as administrator before entering the code.

Dean, I am using the serial number and the registration code that I was sent in the note.. I am running it as the administrator, it does not work I get the afor mentioned message.. serial number does not match.

NO dimension pro 1.5 was pre-populated with a different serial number.. I over wrote it with the new serial I was given, and now that is the default. I have also tried completely reloading Dimension pro and it still does not accept the registration code.

Maybe I am confused. Why would you install the new Dimension Pro 1'5 if you already had it on your machine from the X1 install? Couldn't we just use the X1 1.5 already installed. Nothing has changed in it

That is a very good question... one that I asked in the eStore Forum.. I was provided the folllowing answer by Ryan Munnis...

"The full installer for Dimension Pro 1.5 takes a different format of serial numbers (CWDM-1.50-XXXXXX-XXXXXX) opposed to the previous format with earlier installers on discs a few years back (CWDM-1.10-XXXXXX-XXXXXX). The is one of the reasons if you already own Dimension Pro you will be given a new serial number. It's so that you can install it."

Based in this, I got the impression that I was supposed to install the new version, to ensure that my Dimension Pro version had the new serial number format (and why else would you be sent a new copy of dimension pro 1.5, including a new serial number and registration number if you were not supposed to install and update it?)

My Dimension Pro seems to be installed correctly (I have installed it twice now), and it shows the new serial number, and despite loading it with admin privaledges, it will NOT accept the new registration number.
