You must be joking right?

I move away from Cubase to SONAR because of the color more customization! Now Cakewalk has LOCKED all the colors in SONAR X2. Nothing can be change any more. Not even the "track pane color" can be changed anymore that I prefer to be complete black! Now its DARK GREY too?
This obsession of GREY every where?

You can’t change anything not even the bars and beats tracks whatever. Why in GOD name do they have COLORS in the preference if you can’t change any of it?

As for now Cubase has more customizations to offer then SONAR X2? I’m very close to give up...

I'm not happy one bit about the lack of color. It would appear that the deer love to stare at lights.

I'm gonna go try it now Freddy but I seem to recall in X1 (form many color changes) you had to exit a open X1 again. Have you tried that?

Freddy, I just changed Audio Track text color, Midi Track text color and Folder Text color. All required me to close and reopen SONAR.

Clip color changes seem to be "live".

I just want that grey gone.

Probably going to be an unpopular view here, but I actually like the default colours. It's pretty clear to me and I'm naturally drawn to the information I'm looking for.

As an aside, the little aesthetic changes they've made to the MIDI and audio clips are small, but make them so much more readable to me too.

Yes nothing works.

"Black pane" still works but you can't see it is only effect the background there it is no tracks. Its still dark GREY over the whole tracks view background of tracks....

This is how SONAR X2 trackview background looks like and you can't do anything about it!
