There still many good things about X2 but customization is not one of them...
Cakewalk going backward, all other companies do the opposite.. Even Cubase or Melodyne, Kontakt you can customize the GUI.
 
I don't know Cakewalk are thinking...are they thinking at all?

It's a grey square. Definately a lack of clutter. Not sure how you interface with a grey square but at least you don't have to read too many manuals to understand how to do it.

Freddy, I just changed Audio Track text color, Midi Track text color and Folder Text color. All required me to close and reopen SONAR.

Clip color changes seem to be "live".

Probably going to be an unpopular view here, but I actually like the default colours. It's pretty clear to me and I'm naturally drawn to the information I'm looking for.

As an aside, the little aesthetic changes they've made to the MIDI and audio clips are small, but make them so much more readable to me too.
