Did you use IE?

If so, scroll down a few threads.  Lots of issues with renaming files, but easily solved.

Can use IE easily, just need to rename file with .exe extension.  Just needs some IT savy, which luckily one of my students has..  He spotted it straight away..

I added a .exe (removed [1] etc to everything except bass3 and it installed, seperate install for Rapture. I look in the FX bin and Dim Pro is there but I have not checked the version.. that is next.

Good luck.

So.....if ya download them with Firefox they'll install without jumping through loops?

FF does do a better job. No need to append exe to the files and built-in download manager. I still prefer Free Download Manager instead if the built-in one. FDM even works with IE and would have solved you issues with IE.

Several people pretending to know what they are talking about say so.  One Spock fan in particular seems down on IE.

It's fine using IE, and even simple enough for a fool like me to sort the problem out.  There are several threads on here explaining what to do.

If I can suss it, then you definitely can.

Don't bother having to download those big files again, just because some ignoramus has a problem with IE.

It was my Anti-Virus that caused me more problems...  PEBKAC Error.
