  • No download links in my store account, am I alone???

I upgraded to X1 Production Suite while it was on promotion for the free X2 upgrade, but I do not have the serial numbers for X2 nor the download links in my store account. What is going on???  Below is what my receipt said when I purchased the production suite upgrade. I am a bit bummed and maybe slightly angered about this.,.;.

Apparently the free upgrade and presale are/were two different things.

I posted over there also guys. It seems that I/we participated in the Pre-pre-sale by buying a discontinued product which means they had our loyalty and money before those who waited to participate in the official "pre-sale". I am a little bummed in that I feel like I was loyal before that and now am being punished because of it...

I would not be too upset. Some of the people downloading now have been buying CW product for years. This is how it has worked in the past, presales first then free upgrades with general sales. Cheer up, you can participate in the next presale event.

Think of it this way....   I doubt any of the presale folks got the upgrade to X2 for free.

Thanks scook, feeling rather better now. I was excited and then rather let down to realize that the links were not in my account yet. I must have misunderstood when I called in to talk to customer service and ask questions before pulling the trigger on the Production Suite upgrade. My excitement is building again though in anticipation of when I do get the links. I just will know how the system works for next time.

Yeah, that is right stevec. I've been a Cakewalk user since 1997. I just have never participated in the hype and upgrade frenzy like this before. I have found it rather fun and exhilarating. I have learned for the next go around though...
