Hi,

When I go into edit>preferences>audio>driver settings, the audio driver bit depth
is greyed out at 24, is this what it's supposed to do, yet below my timer and to the left of
the bpm figure it reads 44.1/16, is this the way it's meant to be ? And if not how do I adjust it ?

Thanks
John

If you are using WDM then it may be being restricted by your Windows driver setting.

You don't say what your interface is or whether you normally use it in ASIO or WDM mode.

If you set the driver to ASIO (Audio/Advanced setting) you should have no problem selecting 24 bit if your card supports it.  If you are using W7 and WDM in Sonar then make sure your Windows settings are set for 24 bit, (Playback devices and recording devices via Sounds in your control panel) doing that may enable 24 bit WDM in Sonar.

edit: if it's the VStudio 20 then you definitely need the Driver set to ASIO to take advantage of the VS drivers.

There is a bith depth for playback and one for recording.. If its grayed out, your in ASIO mode and your at 24bit.

Your good to go.
