Dim Pro comes as a seperate download. You can choose not to download and even reinstall Dim Pro with new serial number.Just keep the the first dim pro from X1 and rescan your VST after you completed X2 installation . That is what I m going to do. Assuming that your are upgrading from X1 to X2. If you have the full version of rapture then you can choose not to installed it as well.

I think I'm starting to "get" this new version installation thing now....lots of posts,lots of answers all very helpfull.
