You know me Wookiee I just push record and don't try to really fix anything. I am a kid in a candy store with all the goodies. I love the uprights in Dimension Pro and forgot to quanitize. My biggest problem is not going back to polishing up a song. I have Z3ta 2.1 now so I couldn't get finished with Autumn Leaves fast enough. THIS TIME I saved the file for further editing, which I have never done before, so I can fix it up later. I was feeling guilty about not recording anything for so long so I had Autumn Leaves on my to do list. I'll come back to this one. I like the changes in it. Thanks for listening!!

Rik now you know you can use a G blues scale over a G blues tune, Gm/ Cm7 - F7/ BbMa7/EbMaj7/ Amin7b7 - D7#9! That's pretty much all the kind of chords there is in a song. And thanks for listening!

Thanks Tim! That song does it for me too. I listened to the Miles version and it floored me with the rides in it. Thanks for listening!!

Tony - Thanks for the comment. I was playing around with Dan Haerle's Piano voicings book and had to use it on this tune. I started to use to old Wurley sound but after Lounge Lizard I had to go with that. Thanks again!

Smooth...   Love the guitar tone and performance; perfect for the tune IMHO.

And your choice of accompanyment works nicely, although yeah, the bass is a little "edgy" when it comes back in around 3:04.

I've always liked this song, and this version is very tasty.  It has a laid back appeal that's often easier said than done.  Very nice job, Bill.

I used to love seeing my Mother and Dad dance around the living room to this song.  Beautifully done Bill!!!!! I do like the arrangement mucho!

Thank you Lynn! It's easier to run tripets or 16ths at fast tempos but to lay back and use the beat is a life long endeavor. It's all about the feel IMHO

Stevec I heard it in my car speakers at 3:04. I couldn't hear that on my PC speakers or head phones. Thanks for the comments!!

I listened to it on my car stereo and I can hear that the bass is too forward as Wookie mentioned. While playing with the EQ I forgot to put it back where I had it. It sounds fine on my 2 speaker Bose set up and on the head phones I have. I should have put it to the trio test of Boombox, car, and laptop before posting it. You'd think by now I would have learned to do that
just goes to show you why intellagance is my middle name

There was supposed to be a delay on the chromatic background phrase just before the Guitar ride. The effect was bypassed. I just tuned it on and it sounds much more like falling leaves leading into the solo. There are spots where it sounds like a delay is used but wasn't. I like faking that kind of stuff cuz I can get some unusual effects.  Repeating the note softer each time then changing the rhythm. It's faster than playing with the delay effects. I mostly have the sounds in my head before I record. I just love this stuff! I can remember listening to the Beatles and Hendrix back in 68' and wishing I could make those kind of sounds. Now I have Sonar! very cool

Wow thanks Warren! I have a love for all the old standards. I used to watch the TV Specials in black and white with Miles and his band plus the Jazz bands. I was around 5 and 6 years old. My sister told me I'd get right in front of the TV every time a guitar player was on. I still do
