Hi,
The water tables here in Portland are like 7 or 8 inches above normal ... that is actually good for this area ... meaning there will be plenty of salmon going upstream ... but bad for Californians visiting the Columbia Gorge, for example. They will complaint about the rain! The rain fall for here is now about 3 or 4 inches above normal, which is great.
it's not anywhere near flood, like we had some 15 to 20 years ago, when we had like 4 or 5 inches of rain in 3 days or 4 days, and it was bad, even downtown with the river way up where it shouldn't be. But seeing the Columbia River Gorge watering the plants was awesome, but you could tell the currents were very rough! Not taking my wave runner in there, that's for sure!
