Ok, so for years and years ive had no trouble, but I'm also advancing in my sonar skills, so maybe ive just outsmarted myself????.......you double click to highlight every track, you export.....wullah.....you have a wav file of your song.......ive recently decided to use templates instead of just whatever the standard format is you automatically get when you open sonar?........ive used 4 track template and the supreme drum template(created a folder), ......I double click to highlight every track etc, same as always........but nope........it renders me a wav file of nothing, wtf? I also recently installed latest updates

Instead go, Edit Select all. Then export. Making certain "Entire Mix" , I think it's called, is the export preset, and go. Should work for ya.

Make sure you resave your session as an actual "cwb" file after you save it as a template.  You might be doing all of your normal work inside the session, and everytime you hit save sonar just keeps saving it as a template?

SELECT NONE
As the Matron said.
Also I use all the default export options.

A good point. If what you're working on is titled a template, is it possible to export at all?

Hey Paul,

I've never exported an entire song that way. I have selected a few measures of several instruments & exported that when I need to send a small section to someone for approval on mix or arrangement or something, but when I export an entire song I use the method the others have mentioned. I always open the "edit" menu->select->none, then go to File->export->audio and select my preferences from the pop-out menu. There you can choose whatever format you need, set the quality, etc.

Hope this helps!
