one ridiculous question : are you guyz really gonna use it as soon as it's out ? or just intsalle it in parallel to X1 and get familarized with it ? (until it's X2D and fully stable ) ?

I'm eagerly anticipating X2...

Living where I do it's about $30US for the disks and another $35 for shipping, so I am going to try and do this upgrade by download. May exceed the old download cap and be charged a bit more for that but it's going to  be cheaper than $65 US.

Wish they could have some streamlined X2 core download that was about 1 gig and didn't include DPro, Beatscape etc (many of us already have these on DVD)

I always keep the version previous installed as well. although some vendors (thanks propellerheads) make that a pain to do

I doubt this will be as messy as X1. But I will always d/l the new version and run parallel for a while.

Yeah I get that it is a peak time but I am paying my provider for priority on the line ( Plus Net ) extra so I don't drop below 5mbps even at peak times

I did test it and there was no issue with getting 8mbps through from other sites so I think it must be a cake issue.

Ive never dropped below 5mbps since I joined them until today and I do a lot of downloads bigger than what I did. I will have the DL manager ready in case of any problems come the x2 download :)

servers are fine, I just tested it for something I do own but didn't download yet .. the mac version of SI , but FDM will take chunks e.g. 3-6 or whatever parts if it knows your not using full speed.. to get max speed :)

and you can even get it to switch off ya pc when it's finished on it's own
