@John... We were told end of September. To me that means September 30th. If it comes earlier cool. Frankly though, and I said this before, I'd rather them let it bake another week or so into october if need be instead of getting a rushed release. Sounds like they are on track though and perhaps ahead of schedule. Oh and I am a crusty curmudgeon but I don't find fault where there is no fault to be found. It's not good for the soul... or anything for that matter. CW just hasn't given me anything in particular to complain about. But I agree, I should get all sorts of free stuff... yanno... cuz I'm Beepster. ;-)

one ridiculous question : are you guyz really gonna use it as soon as it's out ? or just intsalle it in parallel to X1 and get familarized with it ? (until it's X2D and fully stable ) ?

Yep, I will still have X1 installed just in case I have a melt-down, but yes, I am going to start my next project with X2.


I have to admit though, my next project will be paid for partly with $$$ and partly with beer, so not so much pressure.  Seems like a good opportunity to get my feet wet with X2.

If I am going to be spilling beer, it had better be on my feet.  It's no so good for keyboards or audio equipment (speaking from experience) 

Any day is fine with me, therefore one day before another is much much better. I see there is a whole in my schedule tomorrow...CW?

Wait... 5 GB? That's no problem. I was told to expect 10-15. But maybe that's with all the Suite goodies and other stuff I already have.

That is just Sonar X2, The 5 gig count does not include Dimension pro beatscape or the other goodies. Those are already installed. just going to download X2 without all the extra stuff and install that. Then I will reformat my drive and reload windows 7 and do a fresh install when I get the DVDs in the mail and I had a chance to test X2

my guess is it will not be as bad as X1. X1 went through a big GUI change and a rewrite on a lot of things. my guess is X2 will be built on the X1 platform with some new features
