I know this is a massive subject so I'm not gonna even attempt to start asking specific questions here but can anyone point me towards some general guides on site or elsewhere about when, where and how to use various pre/post chain setups? I think I'm ready to start digging into these concepts. I have X1 Power, the Anderton vids and obviously access to the X1 manual, forum archives and official Cake vids. Just need to know where to dip my head. Perhaps a lake after harassing you guys so much. :-p

Most of the FX & PC Preset Chains have some sort of description in their title which sort of points towards their intended application.

Just load one up and start experimenting. They will all need a tweak or 2 to get them sounding the way you want, and if your tweaking leads you to create something you think you'd like to use again - save it with a different name.
