I got in on this promotion July 20th. I hope they will still honor it.

I wish I could jump on board but alas... I'm too broke.
It's a great deal if you have a 10 billion Jiggawatt internet connection to download the entire kit and kabootle. What is it with X2PE and the Free Strings ... over 10GB's?

But for the 90% of us who don't have broadband ... we are punished by not being able to cash in on the deal at all even if we wanted to ... or we get slammed an extra $30 bucks to get the DVD's ... and still can't get the strings.

Thanks guys ... and you wonder why I'm grumpy all the time! LOL

I'm getting in on this one.  As someone said, at $99 this is almost a no-brainer.  Great deal especially with all of the features, stream lined workflow, and the console emulation.  It really looks like the bakers have listened and implemented many of the requests.  Really looks nice.I'm also getting the TH2 full version upgrade.

I am not, however, excited at all about the DSF Strings.  I already have much better strings libraries available, but if it is all you got, I guess it isn't bad.  Might use it for quick dry runs to get ideas down for creative first drafts, but then put Garritan or Miroslav or Kirk Hunter in once the mix comes together; it should have much lower CPU and memory demand than Kirk Hunter String Library and would load much faster as well.  So, perhaps it will find some place in the creative process.  As others have noted, it would have been nicer to have had an option or a choice between it and some other deal (like Neal Peart drums--now that would have been nice).

Those of us with broadband are paying $40-50 per month for it.

With all the problems you faced with X1, I'm surprised you would even consider early adoption for X2.
