Jumped in with both feet, but to get the $29 box version,I had to pay a $35 dollar shipping fee!

Oh well, considering what a boxed version will cost in a store here[probably not until around MAY NEXT YEAR!] I'm guessing but $500 doesn't seem too far fetched,so I'm pretty happy to end up paying $163 all up,and the release date of the 27th is the day after my 48th[YIKES]Birthday.

@Beepster,I wouldn't be too hasty about the concrete limiter,If you need to be real careful[like a lot of us!]as there are other good limiters out there, especially this one for FREE : http://vladgsound.wordpress.com/downloads/

YES! you can copy and paste automation, finally.

You've been able to copy and paste automation for a long time, it's just been limited and has never worked particularly well - for many of us frequently more an exercise in frustration than a clean, stable part of the workflow. It remains to be seen whether it all works perfectly as expected in X2; I've been disappointed so many times on that front that I'm personally reserving judgement until it's actually working here, for me, on my own computer...

I m in. Could not resist the free DSF Strings. I watched the webminar. Thinks that get me hooked are TH2, Breverb, improved prochannel, improved smarttool, takelanes, and YES! you can copy and paste automation, finally.

too bad I already has a full version of Rapture with 3 DSF expension packs. Any free sound for loyal customer like me?

Just jumped too. Going on a budget mode and tempted by the TH2 full upgrade too.. so I'll probably print my own box.. :) and continue saving..

Same here on all accounts! That TH2 is really tempting! And for the first time I opted out of the box!

But the optimizing of the core will be desired for its improved speed.

I really like the total lack of 3D crap.

Yes I will look forward to these improvements. But only after SP1 comes out. Call me twitchy, but I stayed with Win98 and ProAudio till 2006! Then stayed with XP till the beginning of this year.

I'm with Win7 Pro now and am really liking it. New machine, new OS, new Sonar! So I will see what everyone around here thinks of Win8. I already know what the reviewers are saying. And they pretty much echo what jm24 is saying. I wanna see how it's gonna act with X2.

After watching the Webinar, I'm pretty excited about X2!
I'll be in, but at the last minute, as I won't have the funds until close to the end of the month.

Thanks for the tip, bob... and happy pre-birthday.

Thanks dude,I'm so shocked at how fast the last 20 years have gone by,and even faster since April 2011,when I got my first real computer.

I used a P3 machine for about 6 months prior, and was always told by so called "Audio Experts",that with Digital Audio,Pro Tools HD was THE ONLY way to go,and for years[just like analogue gear] I thought it was a "pipe dream",as it was "too expensive",especially as it involved a top of the line apple desktop, just to start with.[it still amazes me how much those PTHD/HDX cards are.]

So much to my surprise and joy,by January 2011 Sandy Bridge CPU's,started to change the cost and a Windows/SONAR/In The Box setup was a possibility.
